RailOne:The all in one platform for passenger rail services.

Union Railway Minister Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw launched the RailOne app

On July 1, 2025, Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw unveiled RailOne at the India Habitat Centre, coinciding with the 40th Foundation Day of the Centre for Railway Information Systems. This new app is intended to simplify passenger interaction with Indian Railways services, bringing multiple features into a single, easy‑to‑use platform, as per United News of India.

What is RailOne?

RailOne is a unified mobile application available on Android and iOS, designed to replace multiple railway apps. Existing RailConnect and UTS users can sign in directly with their current credentials, eliminating the need for separate logins and reducing storage requirements, reported Jagran Josh.

The Unified Platform’s Vision

The app prioritizes a clean, intuitive interface. By integrating unreserved and platform ticketing, live train tracking, grievance redressal, e‑catering, porter booking, and last‑mile taxi options under one roof—and securing access via biometric or mPIN login—RailOne aims to enhance convenience and streamline service delivery, according to India Today.

Underlying Technological Upgrades & Future Vision

The Centre for Railway Information Systems is concurrently overhauling the Passenger Reservation System (PRS). Scheduled for full implementation by December 2025, the modernized PRS will be agile, multilingual, and capable of handling up to 150,000 bookings and 4 million enquiries per minute. This upgrade underscores Indian Railways’ commitment to scaling digital infrastructure, as outlined by Business Standard.
